A Day with Maggie

Maggie, Marcelina and I are the three staffers for Magnolia house. We are responsible for the 21 girls who live here, all of them between grades 6 and 8.

I spend quite a bit of time with Maggie/Marcelina at work and they are both amazing humans, but because we're in the boarding business, it's very difficult to hang out since at least one of us is working at all times.

Luckily, we recently had another break (spoiled, I know) so I went up to finally get some quality time with Maggie in Seogwipo, Jeju's second-biggest city. She is from here so I had the insider local perspective. It was a blast!

The streets were very artsy and full of charisma.

We went to the Lee Joong-Seop museum, since he is one of Korea's most famous artists.

There was quite the view at the top of the museum and the weather was divine.

I am sooo happy to work with/know Maggie. She is one of those amazing people who has every single thing on lockdown at all times and she's really awesome with the kids. My ability to navigate Korea is 100% easier with all her help.

Hi Maggie!

She took me to some real-deal traditional Korean eating.

Anyone need a hand?
Sure, I'll take one.

We also visited these gorgeous falls. Maggie hadn't been since she was a kid, and had no idea how beautiful they were.

It was a lovely time!
