Shila Travels: LoveLand

Over the recent break, we went to one of Jeju's more notable locations: LoveLand, an erotic sculpture gallery.

I am a very sex positive person, so I was obviously pumped to check the place out. I had zero scruples about being that foreigner taking some silly photos (and hopefully you have none seeing them). In some ways LoveLand was better than I was expecting for such a conservative/reserved place like Korea.

Unexpected gems:
- LoveLand was surprisingly cool with things like masturbation, female pleasure, and creative sexual activity. Nice work LoveLand!
- The little sex shop was pretty comprehensive in terms of toys and things
- There were unexpected groups of like, middle-aged folks in hiking gear doing the tour, which was awesome and hilarious. It wasn't just couples, although it would definitely be a fun date location (or a very very awkward one, if you were an awkward individual).
- Aside from the evident sexual elements, some of the sculptures were actually very beautiful

Unfortunate elements:
- Despite penises being aplenty, there were zero anatomically correct vulvas to be seen anywhere
- It was pretty strong on the homophobia side of things, but this was not a surprising thing given what country I'm in (siiiiiiiigh)
- There was minimal diversity in body types

No bother though- I enjoyed both the artistry and hilarity of that place.
